Hey There!

"Greetings to everyone and all you Crazy People who read my Blog!"

Feeding took about an hour today, it has about every day since Abby left. Soooo Let me think here..... Right ho and here goes!

Everyone is doing alright, that I know of, you know how it goes. I just got inside from feeding all the horses. Brego is looking a lot better and I'm happy with the amount of weight he's been gaining on the senior feed.
Leah has been having a little Right Brain Issues and separation anxiety when riding. I can't tell the difference between our left side circling game to her right side circling game, all is well.
I left the trailer door open the other day to let the horses experiment with loading (yes it was safe), it was so cool watching them play games to load each other and load themselves-- very eye opening. Brego and Leah went in together and were in there for about 15 min, Jehu joined them about half way through. :) I gave Daddy a lesson on safety and some basic level 1. He had Cricket doing a phase 2 yo-yo game with mommy watching by the end, it was very neat watching him learn. I love to learn and watch learning take place, especially in horses and people. Daddy's favorite game is the friendly game-- Surprised? :)
Rachel was also here this weekend and had another lesson and hang out time, I demonstrated the 7 games again (in order) and she played all of them with great savvy, she is an excellent learner. She had lots of questions which is good but I feel I had been a bit unclear in the previous lessons. Then I put the bareback pad on and we did about 4 laps at the walk and tried some trotting transitions with her hand on Cricket's rump to set her back a bit-- there was a definite difference in her posture.  :) I slipped on in front of her later and we rode double for a short while till my stomach felt weak and we went inside to make pancakes and watch the new Persuasion. Persuasion is a Chick Flick but a very good movie for boys to watch! ---but they don't....

Savvy out and Toodles!

My mommy is a super hero! :)

Hey!

Mommy is in the kitchen downstairs cooking something that smells amazing! It's something chicken-like with onions and garlic! The only thing I can do in a kitchen is make candy, burn things, then clean up after myself.. Sometimes I burn the candy.... *smile*

I just came inside from feeding Brego, again! He's eating faster all the time... Cricket is amazing, I love her! <3

HEAT! <--- It's unbearable! 88 degrees! We've had all the doors open recently and I'm still living a slow death... just kidding

A book I really recommend!-- "Raise your hand if you love horses" by Pat Parelli.. Abby, Emily, and I are all users of his horse training methods (I'm one of the crazy purists, though). He's my favorite horse trainer in the world, his wife Linda is my inspiration. At our library, also, I checked their system to see if they'd gotten any new "Parelli stuff"... AND THEY HAD!  The Parelli success series is now in the library!! I already have the first three levels but this is still amazing!

Rachel Boyd is coming to our house, lord willing, after work! :)

Toodles and God bless!

Notice!

Something came to mind today that I should bring to ya'll attention:

If I ever post something on here about my friends/family/siblings telling a story about them (or something else), I don't mean anything mean or embarrassing. Nothing on my blog is here to mock anyone or anything.

I understand this is very random but very important as well.

Another update!

Time is going a little faster than I thought it would, which is a good thing!! :) If time continues to fly I'll see Abby sooner! :)

Update on Brego, again:

He ate really fast yesterday, I think he really likes that senior feed! :) His ribs are no longer like a wash board but are just little bumps. His summer coat is going to be like last year, SO pretty. I'm seeing bits of it peaking through! It's kinda like this--

JudgesCriminalJusticebyPJWamble.jpg image by defrostindoors
---only a tad darker and shinier...

Abby,
I was looking at Alka-teke horses online (google image search) and I found this:

It looks JUST like Brego! Maybe he has a little bit of this breed... It made sense judging by the breed standard----

"By western standards the Akhal-Teke is not a perfect specimen.. Standing at about 1.57 m (15.2 hh), it is often long-backed with a tendency to be split-up behind, lacking the substantial second thigh so prized by western riders. The rib cage is also shallow but there is an unusually pronounced muscular development and the head, set on a long neck, is arresting in appearance."--

That sounds like Brego to me. The metallic sheen was there last summer, I'm sorry you missed it! Yes, he is still a mutt, but he might have some of this breed-- of course the draft, and quarter horse are probably still there, it's a possibility! :) Hmmm... I think I'm raving now.

Toodles!

Hey there... :(
I'm sad. Abby has left for Virginia... I did all the chores and it was twice as hard! I'm SO tired! Brego got really right brain while he was eating, I had to put the horses away because it was windy and the fence was going down, he thought he was going to DIE!

We bought him some senior feed today, it has more calories and supposed to make him fatter, faster. It's kind of oily and mushy compared to Alfalfa Cubes-- AKA--- A HORSE'S DREAM! So... I mixed it in with his regular serving of Hay Cubes and the only thing he wanted was the senior feed! Little chicken! ha ha

When he was done with the senior feed he was no longer very hungry for anything else but the precious 'Senior feed'! So he got a little upset that his favorite was gone and he lifted his front hoof very high and brought it down in his bucket... *spoiled kid!* Lol... What a two year old..... So I had him stay there and eat some hay cubes just to balance the rest of his diet and all went well.

Toodles!

Update on All the Horses-- This post went by a little too fast so I'm re-posting it

Hey!

Here is an update on the Horses:

Brego- He is currently not getting not getting any real work. He is starting up Level 2, he didn't get any work all through the winter. I worked with him Yesterday before I gave him his special, separate feeding. I also worked with him on Tuesday, we made leaps and bounds in the little time I had with him. He is an amazing guy with lots of potential. Abby asked me in passing if I wanted to work with him while shes gone, maybe she was joking! He puts 110% into everything he does.

Leah- I worked with her yesterday, I haven't really worked with her in a while. Shes been getting Right Brain kinda easily lately. She is my new Level 3 horse (yes Emily! I'll have to get some of the Level 3 material to you), we are doing lots of zone 5 driving. I can't tell the difference in her circling game on her blind side from her not blind side. Pretty nice! I've been doing some pretty clean side-passes (yes, Dressage) in Finesse, it takes a ton of Freestyle to get an ounce of Finesse.

Jehu- No one has really worked with him due to his leg, we are all really bummed. I play a little driving game and porcupine game now and then when I'm out there, he LOVES it. He wants to SO bad but he can't play as hard as he could before.

Cricket- She is quite far through Level 3 and a bit in Level 4! I know! AMAZING! I ask her all the time how she does it. She is so mind blowing! Her obedient Left Brain Extrovert comes out so much more often now days (she is a Left Brain Introvert, regularly)! I LOVE HER! We were out yesterday riding with a halter and one rein, we were both tuned into each other and riding as one, I felt it (this is often refereed to as 'Harmony'). I realized Cricket and I aren't two of the three Musketeers, we are the Dreamers, but not just the Dreamers, we are the ones who live their dreams or 'Dream Livers'. Last night Abby and I were putting away the horses and she brought a halter and lead when I brought nothing, there is a small jump on the way to the gate in the other pasture and Cricket and I lined up and took it... NOTHING ON HER! "Where ever we were going, well, we're here!" I could talk about her for days...

Well.... That's us!

Today's session and Molly and Sandy

Molly and Sandy are so silly!! Ha ha... I have some pictures of them in the previous posts.

Cricket and I had a lovely session! We started out with our one rein and bareback, we walked around for a while then I saw some Right Brain (spooky) behavior and I got off. She was better after that, yet it remained windy.

I then started doing some things to get her attention. Backing, sideways, shoulders-in, and draw. Kinda Dressage-ish. I LOVE HER! Okk... Then she wasn't spooky anymore and I didn't really want to get on after all, so I started just doing things to get her in sync with me, the stuff I mentioned previously. Her backing and following really got better and she was matching me, then I moved on to asking her to back by her tail. That went REALLY well. Then I did some zone 1 driving game and asked her to cut me like a cow (it's where you jump from side to side and the horse jumps to so he can match you), MIND BLOWING!!! Went amazing and she gave 110% to it! THAT WAS REALLY NICE!!!!! Ever seen a really nice horse cutting cows? This is what it was like!!

Toodles!

PS. Thank you Mr Edwards for introducing us to horses the natural way and showing us Parelli!!!! :) :) :)

Eyes again....

Ok,
Looking back on the previous post labled "Green Eyes?", I wanted to make a follow up post concerning eye color. I took this Picture today, my eyes are very yellow right now. I found a really cool link talking about eye colors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_color I was reading and according to this wikipedia article I have Grey/Green/Yellow eyes which doesn't narrow it down at all... (See, I have a really dark grey ring on the outer edge, a bit of green in the middle, then around the pupil you'll see a lot of yellow)

Huh.... Really interesting to me...

Green Eyes?

Ok, so I had two pictures of myself in two different lightings I was fixing something in the background and I noticed that my eyes were so different in another picture.... Strange! Daddy, when I was little, would always call me blue eyes but these look really different.
